Experience-wise, it could be best for our kids to learn some computer skills as early as possible. we can teach our kids to learn to type so as they will no longer find it difficult when the time comes for the to go to school and work on their assignments.
We always hope for the best of our children, finding good ways wherein they are provided well as much as possible. But there are also times wherein we find it difficult to satisfy what can be best for them. We recall those moments when we are kids ourselves and understand further what we can do to improve the development of our own kids.
The scenario is a bit simple:
Parents:
When we were but kids ourselves, there were less complications then when it comes to learning our lessons. We listened to the lessons from our teachers, read books, and wrote our assignments. Computers are not yet as common today, and most of us pass our assignments in papers with scribbles in them.
You know teachers before do not really press their students to encode their assignments and papers due. It was not necessary for them to bond or be inseparable with the computer you know. The dire need for people then was to be quick with the typewriter. There was a need to master typing then but still it is not that pressing still.
Children today:
With computers as common as Televisions sets today, our school also have now required our kids to learn how to use them properly. Their assignments and other schoolwork are now asked to be encoded in the computer. Knowledge in the Internet are also required and needed to be master.
Perhaps parents would feel bad about not being able to connect well with their children when it comes to the computer stuff. The main problem really is that they become intimidated with the demands of school for the kids of this generation. There is no way people can easily deny the difference, sure it is always there but then you know, life is always changing. Maybe the kids would actually think that their parents being too absorbed with their own generation, for the love of the fallacy of the golden age.
However, if that is the case with you, you can still find other alternative in making certain that our kids are equipped early about some knowledge in the technology, which are very invaluable when they start to go to school.
Lastly, we owe to our kids the best education possible. And one best way to ensure that they get the right education is to prepare them early before they start their proper school training. Yet again we can only make the best preparation by making sure that what they are going to learn is enjoyable and appealing to them.
