There is not anyone who hasn’t dealt with the dreaded blue screen of death on their computer. What a lot of people don’t realize is that the past few months of computer crashes and unresponsive programs were what led up to this. Your pc is infected with malware and you need some quick information about windows malware removal.

The reason malware is able to invade your pc so easily is that you don’t even realize that it is there. It can easily run in the background without you suspecting and wreak havoc on your system while stealing your personal information.

Getting rid of malware

One thing that you need to do when your computer crashes is restart your system. It is best to do this in windows safe mode. After your system starts back up you will need to take the appropriate steps to remove the malware.

Once started go to your control panel and click on the remove programs link. Go through the entire list and delete the things that you know are not legitimate.

Next you need to run your virus scanning program to rid your pc of all spyware, adware, and viruses. Your virus scanner should also remove any other malicious programs.

Empty your recycle bin and then open your browsers and clear your history. This is especially important if you do any online banking or shopping. One reason cookie grabbers invade your pc is in order to gain access to bank accounts and credit card information. This is how identity theft starts.

When all of those things are done you should be able to safely restart your system. After you restart you may want to look back over your programs to ensure that the programs you deleted are actually gone. Also check all of your virus scanners and make sure they are up to date. Out of date programs are not effective on the new forms of computer viruses.

Ways to protect your pc

Removing malware can be quite an ordeal. The best thing that you can do is protect your pc from harm so that you don’t have to deal with malware anymore.

Set up a firewall program to protect your computer from any oncoming malicious programs. You also may want to get a good ad blocking or spy blocking programs. This will help to keep your personal information safe. All of the programs will keep your computer out of the line of fire when it comes to malware.

It is very tedious to get rid of. The best way to protect your pc is to never let malware in.
