Dillinger: Rugged gangster story written by Philip Jordan. This is one of the best B films of its kind albeit a key bank robbery is made up of stock footage lifted from Fritz Lang’s You Only Live Once. Cast includes Edmund Lowe, Anne Jeffreys, Lawrence Tierney, Eduardo Ciannelli, Elisha Chef, and Marc Lawrence. (70 minutes, 1945)
Another 48 Hours: The team from 48 Hours is back in action. Ex con Reggie Hammond, now freed from prison, is coerced by Detective Jack Gates to help him with another problem. Gates has been hunting an elusive powerful drug dealer. He needs Reggie’s help to catch this guy.
The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Outrageously naughty film spoof, spiced with sex, and rock music, in regards to a un-crooked couple, Janet and Brad Sarandon, and Bostwick are stranded in an old gloomy home full of weirdoes from Transylvania Music and words by O’Brien; melodies contain “Time Warp, and “Crazy and Wild Thing’. So I Married an Axe Murderer: A man who’s never been able to commit to marriage ultimately meets Miss Right, and then finds out that she’s a infamous axe murderess! Myers is ingratiating and hilarious in a second role as his own contrary Scottish dad however the film by no means switches into high gear.
