It’s not the cheapest, but this card will run Call of Duty 4 very well (at max settings):

9800GT and 9600GT are cheap card which can play all games

Any mid range or entry level card like an ATI Radeon 4850, Nvidia Geforce 8600 and up will play it around medium.
Now if you want really cheap then go for a Radeon 4650 it will play it on minimum but you don’t want that trust me go with an entry level card for 70-180 bucks and you won’t be dissapointed.
